I usually start team building activities in the initiation stage. With small task, trainings, brainstorming session. To give people opportunity to know each other and break the ice as soon as possible. In some times also conflicts start to rise (and this the best stage), as you will have the time to start making work protocol that can work with every body. Usually by the execution stage things will be smooth

The necessity for continuing active team building throughout the project, as people move on and off the project team reflecting the current and future needs of the project.
It can therefore be stated that within the project management literature, there is a general acceptance of the processes involved in building an effective team. Generally understood that team building should start as early in the project life cycle as possible.
The well-known team building process of forming, norming, storming, and performing , those can be used as well.

Fisrt and foremost we need to know that there are five stages;
FORMING, here the team first meets each other, and usually meet for the first time.
STORMING,here the teams begin to work together through expression of opinions.
NORMING, here the team work more effectively.
PERFORMING, here teams functioning at high level, there is trust and accept each other with less supervision.
ADJOURNING, here the team celebrates success of the project, capture best practices for future reference and if not successful,to make an evaluation and capture the leanrt lessons for future projects.
The project stage, where development of cohesion of a project team occurs is the NORMING stage, here there is appreciation of the team members' strengths, the morale is high, there are working towards the progress of the team's objectives and agree to abide by certain group NORMS of working together, how they will share information and resolve team conflictand tools and processes they will use to accomplish the project, they seek each other out for assistance and input.

When a team is build then it means a group of minds (team members) will co-operate each other that includes different questions, opinions & discussions etc. regarding that particular project from its beginning to end accoriding to their experience, skills and abilities.
So, we can say that a team always remain cohesive at all stages of a project in order to complete it in a well organized way.
The performing stage is one where a team is focused on achieving the intended goals and objectives. It is at this stage where a cohesive project team should occur
