This is very common nowadays especially if people is craving and desperate for power. In my previous company i had work with i met some of these people. What i did was i let them talk and listen to them, just simply give them times 4 faces.

I would rather avoid such people if I could, but if it is not possible, there are a few suggestions I would make.
First, document everything about the interaction. Two-faced individuals often go back on their word and deny that certain things were said or agreed upon. If you keep accurate records of all correspondences and minutes from meetings that you have with them, this is prevented.
Second, don't try to challenge their duplicity. If you threaten their nature overtly, (especially if they hold a position of importance) they could take it out on you. Instead, allow them to maintain their natural tendency and deal with them cautiously.
Ideally, avoid such individuals if at all possible.
Let the Person know that you are aware of their true personalities/self. This person cannot be trusted and should not be your friend but rather kept at a distance while you remain alert that he may betray you at any time. Do not treat this person unkindly instead treat him kindly but avoid being alone with him. Don't stoop to his level by getting even with him, show him love , be nice instead of being angry. This attitude will disarm him
