What do you think of Apples' achievement becoming globally powered by 100 percent renewable energy?

I strongly believe its a great step and an achievement that Apple has taken but also I'm a little bit disappointed as well that as big of a firm that Apple is it should have done this long time ago considering the size of it's resources. But as the saying goes, better late than never so its really a positive move. Being one of the tech giants in North America other companies will or should I say they need to follow as Apple. This would greatly effect the environment from within the cities and make the surroundings specially the air more cleaner and healthier for people living in major metropolitan cities. So in overall definitely a great achievement not only for Apply but for our lovely planet Earth. 

This is a very good achievement by apple since our world is sick from different materials used specially in electronics. If apple really wants to be on top in global market from there competitors they must also take care of our environment to save not just our world but there company in manufacturing. They can design lates gadgets, software but its impossible to plan for the environment?? I dont think so, so yeah if apple want to be number one, this is a great move...

I think that contributing to the health of the planet should be everyone's duty.

Its good desicion from Apple company but i don't know why they take late decision in this they work on smartness of inverter and batteries than it will be very good for customers like apple.if they work good in this field of solar than they achieve 100% renewable energy in 5 to 10 years in all over the world.

 

 

To reach to 100% of generating electricity by renewable energy for its own facilities, According to reports “Apple succeed to be a model for others to follow. Apple announced that 23 of its suppliers are now committed to operating on 100 percent renewable energy". Altogether, clean energy helped to avoid over 1.5 million metric tons greenhouse gases emissions from being emitted in 2017 — the equivalent of getting rid of more than 300 thousand petrol vehicle off the road. Moreover, 85% suppliers have joined for Apple’s clean energy project. I think this achievement is the first step for corporations to switch to clean energy and Apple just took the first step.

 

Apple achievment is the trend of high technology companies, therefore I dont take the announcement and a stand alone or a big surprise. The green energy has came to stay and to progress in our modern society, more news like this one will be published.

yes i strongly believe its a massive achievement and great step in cutting carbon footprint and reversing climate change and global warming .With advancements in pervoskite solar cells which increases effeciency to more a sustainable future .

Yes, this is possible by using grid connected solar and wind power plants. 

I appriciate the efforts done by apple for renewable energy generation. Conserving solar energy into electrical energy is good comercial idea specially in country like India and Middle East. Since the threat of global warming due to carbon emmision into atmosphere where 45% because of coal based thermal power plant , this idea will come as commericialy soon. In India goverment gives subsidies for purchase of solar panels and solar water heat system. Specially for power generation there are differnt electricity tarrifs in India.
