i believe there will always be a need for Project Management professionals as project management is a complete different stream
i know so many project manager which have no technical backgorund but are able to successfully deliver projects

Project Managers working on technology or digital projects do not necessarily need to be technical and conversant in all of the latest emerging technical intracacies. It can move too fast for anyone for almost anyone to keep up but that should never make it hard for anyone to succeed. Ultimately, it's about process and collaboration.
As long as the PM has a clear, structured and SMART process grounded in a framework for the appropriate business or project type (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), they just need to be sure they surround themselves with the right technologists that DO understand the technologies and ensure that tasks/sprints/processes et all are managed correctly with clear end goals in sight.
