Discussing your weaknesses in an interview - Video
Do you agree with any of the points in this video? How do I talk about my weaknesses while not sabotaging my interview?
Its usually the best pointing out your weqaknesess in a poistive way. Do dont try to be so perfect not to have an imperfection. Let the employer know that your weakness make you stronger by trying to work on them. Highlight some of the weakness and efforts applied to have the impact your career positively. However, do not point out those strong weaknesess that affect your performance greatly since the employer might doubt your performance and skills.
I have observed during various interview sessions with senior management that they are uncomfortable discussing weaknesses. I must tell you, discussing weaknesses doesn't make you incompetent, but it gives an opportunity to the organization and HR to train and develop you. Secondly, sharing weaknesses is important but more important is to share your learnings from those weaknesses rather than hiding from the interviewer or HR. And if you have figured out a way to control it, is also important for the interviewer to know. This shows a perceptive, self-aware side of the candidate. These days its taken very positively by the Multi Nationals.
Simply, say your weaknesses and tell the person and you are already on your way to truly solving this, by:
1-
2-
and say what you do to solve it.
you will be positive and develop yourself.
