A leader should learn to communicate verbally than in wiriting
The leader needs to commjunicate direcltly because he should apear publically to ascertain his personality and strengthen people's loyality.
leaders don’t necessarily hold or occupy a management position. Simply put, a leader doesn’t have to be an authority figure in the organization; a leader can be anyone.
I think the leader because he is being followed by individuals who are looking up to him, he needs to guide and develop the followers, whereas the manager makes sure things are being done according to the expectation.
Manager; They are the one who is the operation of the organization.
I think manager need to learn more about verbal communication because leader are supposed to give public speech and explain their opinions to a big number of employees so they are more better in communcation .

Manager needs formal, written communications much more than leader who usually needs informal and verball ones in leading his team as same are much more easy for him.

To be a Leader or manager is not the criteria. Today it is audio typing (listening and typing) and shorthand viz pitmans or american shorthand (letters dictated and typed)henace it is more verbal than written in actual sence it is written. The purpose is to convey to the other the basis of the information.
Communication is effective and efficient when it is in writing or it is verbal in nature. It can be a memo or a letter (both) serves as a record for the files and for action to be taken. It should be dated and logged in the receiver book for a signature to be taken so that letter or memo is not lost in transit.
Communication is legal in any form and can be recorded. It is also a responsibility on the receiving end to action it once it is received and be accountable for it.
Hence communication is concise, correct, accurate, specific, relevant, person centred and time sensitive.
The more urgent the matter, the quicker the discussion or dialogue is completed. Effective verbal or spoken communication is dependant on a number of factors and cannot be fully isolated from other important interpersonal skills such as non-verbal communication, listening skills and clarification.

thanks for the invite. verbal or in writing is not confined to either leader or manager alone. the manager can be a leader in his respective team or a leader is not necessarily a manager. either of the two, verbal and in writing are both tools and techniques for effective communication though the former is popularly used depending on the urgency and time constraint.
