Does rewriting always make your writing piece better?

Yes. To write better ,it is important to read it many times. I always write and leave it. Then after sometime I re-read it. I find better words or phrases.

I used to write and hesitate about what I wrote. I also used to get back and rewrite almost 50%.

I fixed the problem by reading almost anything that comes to me, only then I realized that it is a matter of confidence.

It basically depends at times when you do a proof reading ...new ideas flow in , also a gramatical check is done. So not sure about re-writing but yes proof reading definately makes it better

Consider rewriting as polishing a piece of wood. It gets smoother and smoother. That's the painful side of good writing.

Yes. Once you rewrite your piece your goal is to make it better than the first. Thats why youre rewriting it.

In most cases yes. However if the writer have a solid idea , it should not be diluted or diverted because of the rewriting.
