There are two types of fire Alarms;

Addressable and non - addressable.

The aim of addressable is to assign an address for each building through which the fire alarm can be announciated; this is taken care of by Triconex configuration. The non addressable is used in the process areas where no specific address is to be considered and hence the announcement of any fire alarm is heard publicly.
