It depends on the benefit and other options and organizational culture within and outside the organization and other factors. In Japanese human resources employees are encouraged to continue in the same companies they join them and the development of operations within companies is based on the experience. In the culture of American human resources, the labor market depends on diversity, multiple choices and creativity, the company and the employee are looking for other options and the best offer. In the Middle East, there are Gulf countries where the government job encourages to continue and the job in the private sector gives the employee fewer rights and makes him look for other options that are always better. Other middle east countries there is the international companies which every one dream of stay on them and the government and local companies which everyone running from!
It depends on the Company. If their is good work mode and progress in the present job, it is not bad in staying the company for long time.
Yes good beacause you have more knowledge that you can control on product styles n timely delivery schedule
It depends on the company, a lot of people are very happy with a company, work there for a long time, take on management roles and are very successful. There is potentially an issue, though, in that you may not have the same opportunities to progress in both title and salary.
Salary wise it is much easier to negotiate an initial salary AED xxxxx higher than your last one rather than attempt to get a large raise because unless you have some tangible way of showing extreme value I couldn’t imagine your salary increasing much more than the rate of inflation.
In regard to title, if your boss is still there and the company is not in need of another employee of that level, they will not promote you for that position. Some of the more cut throat industries often use an “up or out” policy in that you either get promoted or you get fired
For career growth, change is must. We can compare our life with river, As if the river water stops , water is no longer useful, as if we working in a same industry then our knowledge becomes limited in this unlimited world.
It is good to stay in a compnay which provides one with comfort and Opportunities to work on.
personally it can be good or bad
take it from myself as a pro active worker always trying to uplift myself aswell as others doing my best to reach not only reach but to exceed above expspectations.
I think many people who work in any work space dont want to work in the same position for 30years if he/she has the opertunity to advange or given the oppertunity to being promoted, when the company offers oppertunities like that it will most defnitley be good to stay for aslong as as you want.
if thats not the case look for something better or an employer that provides the things that suites your needs an abilities
Depends on the progression. Staying with one coming in the same position for a very long time might not be good. However, progressing within the company and staying with the same company could be viewed as a good sign by future employers. It gives them a sense of relief that the individual does not keep on switching jobs just because another position seems like a better opportunity.
it is good to stay in the company as long as the company is providing you oppurtunities to learning and growth developement.if staying in company is limiting your ability to grow than changing the company is not a bad option
As long as you are getting oppertunity to excel in your career path & satisfied with renumeraions & other benefits its wrng decision to jump but at a point where you feel that your emploer not treating your potential to its maximum extent and has limited scope of professional & personal growth switch immediately without loss of time.
