there are2 types of AC systems used:

1. Air cooled systems (eg split units, VRF systems, package units, wall mounted, ceiling mounted split units, cassette type units, chillers). here gas (R22, R134 or higher) is used as a medium to transfer heat through insulated copper coils.

2. Water cooled units (eg Fan coil units, Air handling units, Fresh air handling units, modular air handling units, chillers). here water is the medium to transfer heat through insulated steel pipes (SCH40 pipes)

1- WATER COOLED CHILLERS + FCU( OR AHU) .

2- ROOFTOP PACKAGED .

3- VRF

4- DUCTED BLOWER SPLIT SYSTEMS .

5- SPLIT UNIT.

6- AHU DX COILS .

There are3 common A/C systems :1.
All Air system : (single duct, duel duct, reheat, VAV)2.
All Water system (2 pipe system,4 pipe system)3.
