It depends upon the target group, if for educated people facebook, for common TV ads etc.
.
it depends on the target segmentions & the nature of ur product or service
Can depend on the following factors-
-Product in question and its varied uses
-Target age group
-Location the adv is planned to
If the target group is the teenagers, adolscents, then facebook or youtube is definetely the thing since that is the place they spend time socializing. The other option is being a co-sponser for any of the college fests where large number of youngsters gather.
*Radio is yet another option.
it depends on the type of the product and the target group
This matter related to the product:
Potato chips propaganda for children (TV or advertisements in the streets)
A special product for the elderly (tv)
Product for business men (Internet, whether Facebook or other)
So my friend can not generalize the idea or base on all products.
As explained by other forum members, for specific products the choice of media used will differ based on who the product or service is catering to. However, for a generic product and rating them ONLY on a scale of effectiveness against each other, the top priority would be TV ads because they are still amongst the most effective means of advertising along with online reviews and personal recommendations. The next best means from your list would be billboards/street panel ads as these are again an efficient way of reaching out to a large group of people. The effectiveness of both these means is unfocused and extremely limited targeting is highly difficult, but considering the reach generated with a certain effect at an established cost - these would be top priorities and can't be done away with. My last choice (but a sure one) would be Facebook ads because even though the targeting is focused, even a PPC ad-spend might not give as much RoI as the previous2 advertising mediums. This categorisation will alter and social ads might be better for a mid-sized e-commerce site. But in a general, cross-demographics product it would be TV ads, billboard panels and then Facebook ads.
I've always been an advocate for360 degree approach when it comes to marketing, as each medium plays an important role in your final convesions. Each have its own merit and demerits.
Having said that, if you are given a choice to choose only one amongst them, then do a thorough research on the target audience and their needs before deciding to go for one.
I am sure the best is TV , as if any one didn't see it , at least one of his / her firneds or one of family or one in the street or one where u live but in order to be well known , it MUSt conatin words which will be stick in mind and mouth as well AND WIERD also in order to make any one comment on it by sequence it will be well known all over the word not even in your country.
Depends on the product, target audience, and the budget you can work with. FB for me, or any other e-advertising tool will remain my first choice ..
