Deregulation is the practice of lightening the policy burden on the Human Resources (HR) department and at the same time, delegating HR authority to the line managers.Usually most of deregulation is seen in the following areas of HR activities: Performance management.

Deregulation refers to the removal of state regulations. Within HR, it is often colloquially known as ‘cutting back on red tape’ so that processes do not require so much administrative legwork in order to become compliant with law. Businesses, especially small businesses, commonly campaign for increases deregulation in order to reduce administrative costs and allow organisational change to pick up pace.
