The biggest challenges I came across managing diverse teams from different countries were:

1. Communication - To Tell them and to Understand back what they mean.

2. Cultural Barrier - Different people have different perceptions of work and it is very culture-centric.

I felt its important to give them a voice and hence put mechanisms in place ot make sure that no worker feels alienated or isolated.

The second and most important step was to create platforms like meetings (both official and outside) with the personnel and allow intermixing of ideas and cultures so that they learn together to work for a common goal. A variety of measures can be taken in each industry pertaining to dispute resolution, grievance redressal or for improving coordination within a diverse workforce.

I was fortunate to learn more from them in the due course!!

By understanding and respecting different cultural values of each nationality it will be easy to manage them. I talk to my team in a way they feel I am one of them. By learning how certain people communicate then you can also communicate to them despite the language barrier which is the most challenging thing that one can face in a multinational organisation/Institution.

I give them a chance to express themselve and I cope very well with all of them because I belive the best way to communicate is to listen.

I communicate with them with a common language that is English, and no matter the nationality, the important thing is to create a family that shares the roles between them, so that they are complementary to each other. the other is the team spirit which is much stronger than the individual spirit.
