Do looks and style matter in an interview?

If a candidate was a good fit for the position, but his attire in the interview was not very good, would you still hire him?

Ofcourese one's dress and suitable style is important as it will be make one comfortable to face the interview. However, to succeed in an interview he should have the potential and experience for the job concerned.

Generally, a formal interview is the most common form. But some interviews take place in a casual atmosphere. It depends on a professional sphere, on a company, etc. In my opinion, a potential employee should provide the right impression for a potential employer - I mean a tidy appearance at least.

Yes. But sometimes people can surprise you or push away by wearing orange clothes.

Definitely It is.

the worst thing is that even your height is important. It is not vital but it is a unconscious contributory factor.

There is some thing called heightism.

based on this theory, employers pay more salary to highest employees.

Many people miss a critical opportunity to showcase their strengths and leave a powerful lasting impression. I’m talking about the “Is there anything you’d like to ask us?” point in an interview.

Yes indeed.

As long as the candidate experience and qualification is very much in line with job requirements the candidate attire should not be given much importance.

It depends who and where you are getting interviewd.

In my opinioon looks and style should not matter in an intertivew, but yes how he or she carries himself/herself makes a big difference.

Definitely i will because if you have been asked to hire someone who doesn’t have enough experience to suit the position but has a good outlook, ofcourse you will not accept that ..
