page number in parentheses at the end of the sentence
American Psychological Association (APA) citation style
In text citation need last name of the author and page number to refer the quote. example can be ( shahwar 8). Even if authors name is repeated still the intext citation tells abouit the page number of the book .
I usually use software like endnote to insert citations within documents following APA style or MLA style.
MLA Style is used to reference a quote of an already mentioned author.
Signal phrase reference (author's name) appears within the sentence with the page number in parentheses at the end of the sentence.
(last name, date, page numbers) in parentheses if the citation is at the end. Last name (date) at the start of the sentence, while (page number) at the end. APA style.
Not only because I have adapted it for myself, but also because I think it is very clear and practical, I would do it in the Harvard citation way.
If you introduce the cited material with a signal phrase (including the author’s last name within the sentence), omit the surname from the parentheses.
Example: John demonstrates this psychological phenomenon (-).
