Your content should deliver value to the reader. Use persuasive tactics to increase engagement and advocacy. You could create user groups that have different privileges and attach promotions and loyalty/reward schemes. 

Also, once you have segmented your target audience (e.g women, families, men), try to recruit strategic partners with products that those segments use and have interest in.
