Hirschfeld and Wasserman reported a percentage of tooth loss in furcation-involved molars of 31.4% compared to 4.9% in single-rooted teeth after a mean maintenance period of 22 years . McFall obtained similar results in 100 periodontally treated patients maintained for 15 to 29 years.

depending on amount of furcation involvement the periodontal treatment has to be decided along with rct prognosis can be good if furcation is tackled carefully like with a flap surgery and bone replacement or even hemisection of the tooth ( lower molars ideally).

is the furcation involvement due to a compromised periodontium or floor of the pulp chamber carious?? if its compromised perio success rate would be good provided that the furcation can be cleaned with a bottle brush.if its carious exposure then mta repair of the floor can be done but i think success would be less since tooth root structure is compromised.
