I am currently a part timer and my boss makes me work from home on my days off. Doing phone calls, replying mails.. Etc should I stop doing that or not. Tell me what will u do, if were in my shoe
If I was in your shoes I will see following points -
1) If I am gaining knowledge and experience from work which I am putting my man hours even on day off , knowing the fact I am not a permanent employee
2) If Boss is trusting me and giving me job then there is chance I can please him/her with my work and get permanent soon
3) It also will show up in your resume that you dont shy away from responsibilites and can contribute to your organisation now and even in future (which ever company you work) so thats an addded advantage.
So, take it up as a challenge and do your best , rest will follow.
it depends on my occupations on the salary for example if i am a student at the same time i can't accept because it doesn't go with my personal objectives. but still i can negociate with him each point.
i would simply tell my boss that i don't mind doing such a thing if the job needs me to handle this stuff, yet i have other stuff to do within my days off, therefore there is two options, become a full time employee, or at least give me a time frame where and when would that end, so i will handle that for the time being if its needed yet he would need to sort it out in a short amount of time by giving this tasks to someone else, and i will help until he will find this someone otherwise i will be looking for another place if he didn't agree on both
I do not mind doing this work if the job needs me to deal with these things
Yes, I will accept, but in emergency cases
i will not accept it all time but sometimes when am less busy or free
NEVER,BECAUSE WE SHOULD LOVE OUR WORK NOT A COMPANY OR BOSS.
Yes i will accept but extra payments
If you are paid part timer and your boss makes you work from home on day off. You should accept your tasks / assignments to prove yourself and grab this opportunity to get regularise your position to "Permanent Employee" in that organization.
Wish you all the best...
