Hello,
Someone told me that most engineering jobs in UAE require doing tests of English language proficiency, and that many failed to get jobs there because of the required level of proficiency.
Is that true?
no tests required in most cases, but you will be interviewed in English and your level of fluency will enhance your chance to land the job
Highly possible, because most of the Engineering terminologies are English based and are traceable to International Standards (such as IEC, British Standards, IEEE, ANSI etc). Nomenclature in English, if not followed carefully, can cause disasters (including loss of human lives). Also, translation or transliteration in various languages can cause misunderstandings, particularly, those in operations and maintenance. Hence, language consistency in English is a must.
No, in rare job role English language test required otherwise mostly not required.
However, the advanced level of English required in mostly engineering jobs.
And they will know during the interview.
Communication Skill is very much important factor in any kind of job, especially english as UAE is the country having lot of nationalities working over there.
I think it true because English is a world language if you working especially in the Engineering field It will assist you.
YES.IT IS TRUE.I BELIVE THIS
Yes it's possible , because most of the jobs related to engineering technologies ,the communication of fluent English is best because we will communicate different nationalities persons so English is support us solving problems , understanding each other etc
