I was also associated as regional manager for NATIONAL QUALITY ASSURANCE -UK based , QMI -Canadian based , RW -Tuv -Germany based ....so  on ...

They have one thing common ...They issue ISO certficate after CERTIFICATION audit , with validity of three years ...and every six months they conduct surviellance audit and auditee organization  need to go for recertification audit after completion of three years.

In general the ISO standard includes ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 18000, ISO 17025 and so many other depending on the industry.
There are also other ISO standards available for standard analytical methods (laboratory analysis) .
You can get a list in the wesite www.iso.org Some of the International Companies those offer ISO certification include: British Standards Institute (BSI Bureau Veritas (BV) UKAS TUV etcc.
There are also other companies available for ISO certification locally and internationally.
