Thanks for the invitation

While many people are working in gulf countries all around the world, being an expat won't lower  your chance to get a job.

Keep in mind as an expat wanting to work in journalism to start your work with strong writing skills. Show your solid writing and editing skills. Present your work as a writer, editor or reporter. If you have no experience, start as a volunteer. Volunteerism may be the step to get you hired if you prove your skills.

If you know someone working in gulf, go visit and showup on his office door and meet his colleagues. Since many of the jobs are not  announced, being physically known may give you extra points to get a job.

Journalism requires working in a strange environment. You should know about the cultures and civilisations of the country you’re going to.

Remember that working in foreign country for a long time require work visa. Usually in gulf country, the sponsor organization took care of the visa process.
