Hi,

In simple words

In Augmented Reality, you use the real field via camera and you spot on things in that real field and either provide information about it, or play animations on that spot or make any kind of interaction that particular spot. And there can be many such spots you can show such interactions with.

In Virtual Reality, everything is virtual. You create a virtual environment and move around in it to give is a feel you you are actual in the world.

Thanks.

Regards,

Muttahir

Augmented Reality is a computer generated visual layers on top of existing reality while Virtual Reality a completely new geenrated environment where the user is immersed in a fully interactive scene

Virtual Reality (VR) is where the user is teleported to another reality using the VR headset, where the user can move and interact with all elements exist in such world using the controllers and motion sencors.

Augmented Reality (AR) is where the user see newly added objects to the world/place the user are in, using a mobile device, a 3D screen, or Augmented glasses.

Augmented reality works with programmed images that are present in the devices and that takes some forms when activated by some user's actions. The interaction between user and object is limited. Virtual reality creates a whole new world that can be modified by some commands of the user. The challenge, for developers, is to recreate the answers of that world as close as possible to the machine or situation they are trying to represent from the real world. In this sense, the interaction and responses between user and object would be infinite.

Augmented reality superimposes a computer generated image on the person's view of the surrounding world.

Virtual Reality, instead, immerse the user in a virtual world, constructed completely in a computer.

A very simple answer would be that Augmented reality enhances the current reality whereas Virtual Reality creates a completely new reality/world for the viewer.

I agree with Muttahir

In Augmented Reality, you use the real field via camera and you spot on things in that real field and either provide information about it.

In Virtual Reality, everything is VIRTUAL..

But i want to correct him my this"That in both of the technologies everything is virtual only the device and targets are real"

According to my Knowledge

Augmented Reality : As word  "Augment" means "make (something) greater by adding to it {google answer}" .So simply Augmented reality means connecting virtual reality to physical reality(present near you).

And my above description it is clear that virtual reality is noting but a "creation of programmer" and augmented reality means connection "Creation of programmer to Creation of GOD".

Thank you

Virtual reality implies an immersive world, most often with an headset (eg. Oculus, Hololens). Augmented Reality relies more on the back/front camera of a mobile device (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) in order to add some extra content to a real world entity. The core components of augmented reality are computer vision, with instance or category matching services, or 2d/3d tracking (visual odometry or 2d features detection).

To avoid any confusion with the current trend of the market, Virtual Reality is not using face or object tracking effects, if so, it is called mixed reality (like Magic Leap company backed by Google & Alibaba)

Hi

Augmented reality is the blending of virtual information content and real life environment, and users able to interact with virtual contents in the real world, and are able to distinguish between the both environments. on the contrary, in the Virtual Reality it's make the user isolated from the real world while immersed in a world that is completely fabricated.

augmented reality is about to enhance the real world object by adding a digital overlays over those objects to give a wider representation and a new source of information , in comparing with virtual reality which from its name represent a virtual environment without any contribution of the real world.

this question has long answer but in summarise augmented you use it by install application in mobile , you can do that for cognitive and affective it prefer by primary and secondary education in sceintificm engenieeringm anatomy feild...etc., but on virtual reality it depends for system what do you want use we have immersive ( full immersion in reality3D)and non immersive (has desktop and partial immersive). and also, it effect on cognitive , affective, and psycomotor skills for learner. nowadays this strategy for learning is creative method to teach in nursing skills
