There are many resons for employees resistance, a major reason could be that some of them need training in particular areas inorder not to feel frustrated while performing some tasks. This could be done in suggesting several training programs, and ask them to chose the programs they need to enrol in, or ask them to suggest suitable training courses or programs. Incentives and rewards are also very important while helps employees more committed. When employees are committed to work, better communication is evident, and therefore better attitude and thinking is evident. This is basically to facilitate process innovation.

By utilising effective change management methodologies, such as ADKAR and actively engaging with your staff the organisations ability to innovate and adapt is significantly enhanced.

The key is to engage with the team and enable them to help create the innovations or understand how initiatives can help both themselves and the organisiation.  A useful approach to facilitate this is through Interest based problem solving.

If you are part of the solution it is then difficult to create resistance to that solution, utilising the expertise that is available within the workforce increases engagement and reduces resistance.
