What is the difference between LC and DDC Classification?

The main difference between the two is that LC has 21 classes allowing for more call numbers while DDC, on the other hand, has only 10 classes (000-999) allowing only a limited call number.

Library of Congress uses a mixture of letters and numbers, but DDC uses the only a numeric system.
