Manual testing means that without using software is ther mistale is arises without our knowledge and also time increasing.

In using software tool for the testing that is Automation testing, main feature:Time saving, automatically script generated,

so manual testing to know urself in the basic functionality that is necessary

Automation is mainly time consume deliver the project duaration so its  needed

Automated Testing is suitable only for projects where retesting is required. Regression testing, performance testing and smoke testing are right candidates for usage of automated tools.

Manual testing is always the best as logical thinking is possible only in that.

It totally depends upon the nature of software under test. But in most cases manual testing is mandatory. Here are the testing types which cannot be done without manual testing

  • GUI testing
  • Logical errors
  • Usability Testing
  • Behavioral testing

Where automation testing is only a best solution when you have a complex system and you can afford

  • Cost for learning software tool
  • Cost for scripting test cases
  • And most importantly coding standard with respect to testing tool

Anyhow there are some scenarios where manual testing will no more work. Here are some cases:

  • Load testing (Testing a server for multiple requests at a time)
  • Speed test on different machines with different  internet speed and different locations
  • Real Time systems testing where only simulators can be afforded.
