One of the best activities that involves the highest engagement of students in a class is collaborative project-based learning (PBL). In PBL, students work together on a project that requires them to apply what they’ve learned in real-world scenarios. This method promotes deep understanding and retention of knowledge while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Projects can be interdisciplinary, involving multiple subjects, and often culminate in a presentation or tangible product. This approach keeps students actively engaged because they see the relevance of their learning and have ownership over the project’s outcome.
Guide them in crafting class goals and rules. Provide them with choice in how they will work on and demonstrate mastery. Use thematic and project-based curricula with realia that is applicable to life outside of school. Help them see that each of us has a purpose in life and that education is helping them for their role as a contributing member of society in that each of them has interests and skills they can use to make the world a better place. ❣️
It is difficult to motivate students, but in some way it is possible. For example connecting students using social media, using humor, and encouragement in learning. It is also very important to treat all students with respect. You can also find out about student engagement options here.
