Students' mental health is unarguably a priority.
Non-formal education has proven to be the best way to teach someone any subject, especially life skills, and keep the student happier and healthier than ever.
With that being said, non-formal education usually has a peer-to-peer evaluation system which makes them biased and non-objetive.
Personally, seeing the progress students I taught had made after months of non-formal education, a biased evaluation from peers is something I am more than happy to have.
Some educators even reject any evaluation system, but I suppose that anyway, assessments motivate students to study better and allow teachers to identify students' gaps and problems. This article about teaching covers the matter of assessments too - additionally, you can find and read more information about formative and summative assessment on the web.
