Are only specific teams in your company offered flexible working hours?
No in policy and yes with the assignemnt. I mean to say is my company discourage the employee for flexible working hours but if a person is perpetually late sitting in the office for official work then company do have some lenancy for him as a special case.
No, not at all....but for some special assignments or urgent cases, company does allow workers to work for extended hours and if the worker works till late night to complete that special task, the next day he is being given some flexibility to come late.
A big “NO” with current employer and though we do late sitting but we have to be there at9:oo am in morning but with my last employer, due to nature of work and major late working such facility was provided with request from technical head to HR and mutually they decide it. But those employees who avail this facility were out from punctuality award at the end of the year as this incentive was only for those who are on-time.
I think, it’s good to have such facility but this could be curse too because sometime it could be trouble for employer. Based on the nature of the work and department flow such decision could be taken.
In response to your question, my present company does not have flexible work timings for all. The employees are having fixed office timings (8 hours in a day) and for the cohesive work the fixed timing is very effective. Only few employees (technical) are having flexible timings as they may be required often due to their expertise hands.
only specific teams in my company offered flexible working hours upon their job needs.
it is sometimes against labor law in my country to work in flexible working hours.
Yes and no. Yes because they leave that to each section or branch to decide what is the best time to start work. No because it's not an individual decision.
When thinking of flexible working hours often think of working from home. At home can tell when has so much work just not all in one day.
However, the employer can very well offer this option of flexible working hours to certain employees, assuming that it is a production company manufacturing a necessary and important product, very much ask for flexibility in working hours and the right solution for a company. which gives a beneficial result to the company and reduces absenteeism and sick leave rates to everyone and satisfies as much as the loyal customer.
Usually IT companies provide flexible working hours for senior technical people who usually work late in the evening and comes into office lately. I work in Shanghai, and my company also provides flexible work timings however we discourage people using unless extreme cases (Mother of infants who usually need to return back early to take care of their child, and other family urgencies)..
Absolutely YES
A flexible daily schedule allows employees freedom in terms of when they come to work, leave, or take lunch. These arrangements have no impact on their responsibilities, the goals that need to be achieved, or the total hours worked.
No, However for some special company business needs or some employees cases, company does allow employees to work for extended hours to complete that special task.
Allowing your existing employees to work flexible schedules can help you retain valuable staff. Without a doubt, flexible schedules are one of the most important perks employees want from their employers.yes, company allows.
