How can an over fifty year old compete with the younger executives? What should be the gauge factor for this?
From what i see, yes it is a chellenge for a highly experieced person who is over50 to find a job in the GCC market. People think he is over qualified for most positions and way too expensive for them. Senior positions are always left for locals who get paid highly. But again, this is a general view for some private companies overlook this trend.
The employee more 50 year can give to work according to the experiences gained by the particular managerial experience and problems and crises, as well as project management and to exert extra effort to carry out the scientific developments and modern methods of work and the latest technology implementation and administration further
For westerners like Mr. Adam has no problem as it is the custom for westerners looking for a job in the MENA. Westerners like the americans, europeans are valued and look up to by middle eastern business and unfortunately, for asians like me, at par or more than any other deserving 50+ westerners are look down and ignored. It is a story been going on here and why is it like this? mindset of the MENA people here is the culprit and hopefully should change as intellects are not only concentrated in these regions the americas and europe. be aware that america became what it is now was because of the contributions by the asians.
