As a customer service personnel, Firstly, I will bring/remind the customer of the company's warranty policy. If this was stated to the customer at the time of purchase, the customer will be made to understand that he or she failed to respect the warranty policy therefore, it may incure some charges at that point. If the customer understands this and is willing to coorporate, the company policy will be fullfilled whereby any repairs or new item will be issued at the right cost with a smile, please and thank you. Where a customer is unwilling to coorporate, if I am at a lower cadre customer service position, I will liase with the Supervisor and see how we can extend the warranty, or give him/her a discount on the new sales or service.

Sorry for inconveniecnce I' cant help you, this product warranty has been expried. (we cant help a customer against warranty policy it mean you're not abide to policy which may create ambiguity about the company's transparency and product quality. So it is not good idea to help customer out of the way.)
By Convincing him it is a sign for him to get the new updated version of it !

If you can't resolve the problem with the retailer, write to the manufacturer. Your warranty should list the address of the company that provides the warranty.
