Foreign market is much larger than the domestic market. As a modern Export Marketing Manger then, it is my duty to penetrate a new Market abroad. Must Study the Foreign Market with its Business Policies, Cultures, Regulations and the Foreign Currency Barriers. Based on the Marketing mix research reports, I would formulate Business Development Plans, State Marketing tips, maintain contemporary Promotion Strategies. These can help to regulate ` A foreign Market Expansion strategies`. It is also important to rank between markets to choose the one that can afford my price. The living standard of the country should be taken in to consideration whenever I plan to penetrate a new Foreign Market. The societies that have a good Per Capital Income are good to enjoy the market price. It is also mandatory to check with the demand/supply scenario of the foreign market in relations with my products and related services. It is also important to know the competition environment of the foreign market before adapting pricing policies. Assessing the Export opportunities is deeper and wider. Knowing the creditworthiness of the importer with whom I am going to engage transactions is also one of the key elements I should figure out in advance. Export business needs a big tolerance and dedication. The local exporter should always be sure if the buyer in abroad is capable enough to fulfill with its contracts. Focusing on the6 elements of the Marketing Mixes is also always there in mind. Formulating world class branding, packaging and warehousing are also one of the biggest functions of Export processing. Assembling City Logistics, Availing Export Documentations as clean as described in the LC, also considering the latest shipment date, these are the most important part in the Export Operation Process
The figures mentioned needs verification.
GCC GDP are mostly banking on the natural resources - gases and oil, which are well exported beyond its boundaries.
Are there any more finished goods in abundant in GCC to be exported?
Sir, from whatever small experience I have had , I can say that in the matter of exports , there does exist a second hand re-export market for cars from the UAE , and also there are opportunities for the supply of copper scrap which has been melted and made into various forms to Africa , as also some countries require CPC (Calcined Petro Coke) which is usually available in countries with Petroleum Refineries . Lubricants and other various oils (both new) and Used can also be an item of export . Just to be realistic , its not all hunky dory , most of the places requiring these items are not exactly Developed nations and one has to take the necessary safeguards whilst dealing with them .
Thank you Irphan Ghani,
I was rather focusing on exporting goods and related services to the GCC. The economic ratio I mentioned was just to show how economically and financially the GCC is developed. Large population, with strong annual income, you can say it a life style that you can trust. This region has oil and natural gases, as you said. But with no agricultural products. Did you get me now? Food items can be sold here in bulk from Africa. Shorter transpiration leads time, minim distribution price. Assume what does that mean, a food form organic and fertile farm lands of Africa, comparing with the expensive genetic foods of Europe ….
