The social media shortened a lot of time, efforts and some times the money to get access to all specilities we are asking about it , for example your posts and questios on this website i knew about them while I am searching through my facebook and I found one member following you.

Depends on the role you play. In sectors like media, PR etc they might need to be in sync with the social media upscaling but not so necessry in case of role in plant operators, coders etc.
