There's more than one reason:
1- Financial matter "They client maybe clear and tell you that".
2- You fail to impress him.
3- Emergency circumstance.
4- He got a much better offer than yours.
You may send an email to check about this situation, Don't just make a one phone call, Change the timing and try again, It's your goal don't miss it.

There are 2 main reasons:
- Either your client is comparing your offer with other sales offer to pick up the best for him and this may take some time according to his needs.
- Or your sales presentation did not leave good impression at your client and this may need you to review your presentation.
You may also keep calling him or send reminder mail or even pay another visit (even if you pretend to visit by accident) to explore the climate.

The reason could be many. first of all we must know either we have presented our product as per the client requirement. Second is our client is the concerned decision making authority for taking that product ? Third and the most important are our product comparatively better or at par with our competitior? Very important thing is our personal impression on our client. sometime even the product is not good enough but with your good impression client can approach you for many other things.
