I believe certification adds nothing to organization. Certifications are pieces of paper with no value in wrong hands (for obvious reasons) and no value in right hands (for obvious reasons). Certification adds to marketability of the individual. Similar to MBAs and PMI certifications.

Real value to organization comes from specialized trainings like negotiation skills (e.g. Complete Skilled Negotiator by The Gap PArtnership)

it is certificats of new  four worldwide American Purchasing Society certification programs, 1-the Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), 2-the Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM), 3-the Certified Green Purchasing Professional (CGPP), 4- the Certified Professional Purchasing Consultant (CPPC). The American Purchasing Society advocates the following principles and standards that comprise its Code of Professional Ethics and Professional Conduct. Adherence to this Code is required for certification through the American Purchasing Society and serves to ensure public confidence in the integrity of purchasing professionals.

CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional) and CPPM (Certified Professional Purchasing Manager) certifications are valuable in procurement, showcasing expertise in purchasing practices. Certification adds value to both the professional and the organization. For professionals, it enhances credibility, opens up career opportunities, and increases earning potential. For organizations, certified professionals contribute to improved procurement practices, cost savings, and efficiency. Green International offers the best CPP and CPPM certification training in Qatar, Chennai, Kuwait, and Mumbai.

Actual worth of these certifications is different , if you are in the field and evaluated these certifcations from American purchasing there are a joke compared to some serious certifications where you actually have to study and give proper controlled exams. Professional recognized certifications that are accredited worldwife are from CIPS and APICS.

Dont waste the money and resources in these certifcations which are widely offered in UAE and how they are acheived and training levels are very basic. And no credit hours will be granted in any reputable institute for having these credentials.

You want to invest in your self join CIPS or APICS.

You might not find many people outside our field can recogniz these certificates, however these designations :

1. Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)

2.  Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) in which (CPP) Certification should be obtained first.

Both could be earned after proving that you have sufficient education, professional related experience and ethical standards, and then passing the required examination provided and evaluated by The American Purchasing Society (www.american-purchasing.com).

In General these certificates are assuring that the holder is qualified and professional in his field as per the international Standards.
