I am a new owner of an MGB LE. It has all its parts, looks good, no rust good running sample. Would it be bad to sound proof the car with something like dynamat? Would that destroy it's value? Thanks.
Firstly, congratulations on your MGB LE acquisition! Those are fantastic classics. Regarding soundproofing, I've had a great experience with Resonix Sound Solutions when it came to reducing cabin noise in my vehicle. As for the MGB, while Dynamat or similar products can indeed improve comfort by reducing road noise and car sound proofing , there's a valid concern among classic car enthusiasts about maintaining originality. If preserving the car's value is of utmost importance, it's essential to keep any modifications reversible. Many classic car enthusiasts and collectors place a premium on originality. However, if you're looking for personal enjoyment and don't plan on selling it anytime soon, then adding soundproofing could enhance your driving experience.
