some times this is a one of the major case for the fresh candidates.
Inspite of their quality and quantification they do not get chance by their age and sometimes over age too.
but for the young candidates if they have dynamic capacity then they should get chance.

In some case yes, not because it is a barrier but more for fitting purposes: -Junior jobs, is occupied by young fresh graduates and this is not only for its need to low skills but also for low wages.
-Also, jobs that are required dynamic movements like site jobs, prefer to be occupied by young candidates and this is due to physical effort requirements.
mostly the preference in jobs in term of age if needed it will be for young candidates not for old, the jobs that require experienced candidate generally they don't specify age but specify number of focused experience.

Yes, because an old man has an experience but he would not energetic than a middle aged person.
Same like this a fresh candidate could not perform well than that an experience person.

This thing could be true in some sort of positions but not for every post.
In many posts elder people are most suitable like managerial, administrative and strategic decision making posts.
There's no alternate of experience and the volume of observation anyone have.
There's a saying that experience of an old man can be beneficial than the strength of 70 young people.
So it's not a single point thing that age could matter to any job or not, and could vary case to case, But in most of the cases higher ages are beneficial.

Experience matters more than "age".
Also, the willingness to learn, improve and contribute positively.

Age is one trait that does matter for some kind of jobs for instance some fresh candidates (like me) don't get the job they want coz they lack experience however what really matters is that the employee has that spirit of youth to give what it takes for their work to be achieved .

Age does matter for certain industries for example in INDIA most of the BPO companies does not allow aged persons CV.
Even if you find aged people it is only with few exceptions or through referral.

Yes! this is depend on the job function.
For example, A aged person cannot get a job agreement like loading & unloading, painting on building walls, to fix the issues like network boxes setup on the tower etc.
For most of the aged peoples they are still connected to their job as like MANAGER, SUPERVISOR, OWNER etc.
This is because only of their's experience and a long services to the firm.
