“Is an authoritarian or democratic leadership style more effective during times of crisis?”

In times of crisis, leadership styles can significantly impact the outcome and morale of a team. Some argue that an authoritarian approach, with clear directives and swift decision-making, is essential for navigating turbulent times. Others believe that a democratic style, which involves team input and collaborative problem-solving, fosters resilience and innovation

In my opinion, Democratic Leadership Style will be more successful in Crisis Management. Here the leaders can motivate & boost the morale of their subordinates and staff to reap the fruits of collective effort. Subordinates & staff willingly participate in dealing with the crisis. Cooperation & Coordination level will be very high. Interchange of Ideas and Information will be smooth. Sense of Responsibility is more among subordinates & staff.
