One of the key factors in our job happiness or unhappiness is our relationship with our boss – the person to whom we report in our company’s organization chart. A good boss can make a bad job tolerable or even enjoyable, and a bad boss can turn an otherwise gratifying occupation into a miserable experience. No one is perfect, including bosses, but people can improve their leadership skills and learn how to become a boss who is admired and respected by employees.
An ideal boss should have the following qualities:
Leadership by Example
Goal Setting
Effective Communication
Team Building
Transparency
Value in All Employees
Industry Knowledge
Empathy for Employees
Respect
Compassion and Sensitivity
First of all I would like my manager to know what he's doing . A boss with a strategy is a good person to work with. I would also like him to be honest, precise, fair and rational. A manager who knows how to cover his staff's backs without violating the SOPs would be considered as a successful boss from my point of view.
