In several business conferences across the globe the "Mumbai Dabbawalas" were invited as role models. They enormously proved that to establish a business and develop it etc etc one does not have to go to any business school.  They are neither engineers, nor they hold any degree in business management yet the world is taking them as inspirational businessmen.

Hope it clarifies.

I disagree

they can learn about business development and sales by taking courses or study about it for example if I'm a drilling Engineer I can take a professional license from reputable firm this step is called business development . if I have this license me and my colleagues  I would be in a competitive position inside the place I'm working in -a lot of international firms would like to deal with us , this will increase sales level
