Should your online & offline advertising always use the same campaign?

Can you publish an offline advertising campaign and at the same time have a different campaign running online. How can this effect your brand and visibility both online and offline?

If it's an important campaign then I believe online and offline should complement eachother in a way.
Sometimes there is no need for both of them to be the same, for example if you're running an advertising campaign on Facebook to target users to like your page, there is no need to run the same campaign offline.
It depends on the type of campaign and what you are trying to achieve.

A campaign is a product of strategic thought and communication.
Underneath it is a central concept which each and every execution should reflect.
This concept, in turn, builds the brand.
However, this does not mean using the same headline/image for print and web banners.
the campaign should be adapted to suit and maximize each medium.

Should be same in most cases provided you have means and tools to measure them independently.
Like unique landing pages for each medium etc.

It doesnt need to be the same. This would depends on the marketing strategy and the trends that you're going to use for the market.
