Some companies give out outrageous perks to their employees, from free laundry & press to flexible time & working space. How about you, are you receiving these kind of perks or just wishing until the sun rises on the west.
In my own personal opinion, any kind of perk that can serve to be mutually beneficial for both the employer and employee is definitely a plus. Take for example offering travel abroad for employees working in the tourism/travel sector; sometimes rewarding your own team members allows for insight and gained knowledge. The employee looks forward to the extra long hours and endless tasks with pleasure and sees the workplace as an environment to thrive instead of remaining at a stagnant position. Since I work as an Events Manager at an exclusive country club for expatriates I definitely wouldn't mind programs for myself and my coworkers to enhance our speaking capabilites. I would appreciate an annual trip abroad or even medical benefits :)
The great benefits my current employer can offer me (free meal, training every period, providing all the working tools in the workshop
The best benefit you can provide to your employees is the opportunity to make a difference through their work and help guide the course of the company. Benefits such as clear and frequent communication on company happenings, individual and department direction, and big-picture company direction make all the difference in employee happiness.
All I wish to see my employer doing is practicing the open-door policy.
It is then that I can suggest all that is pleasing and whatever it is that I want to see done in my placeof work.
