What is the best answer for salary question ?

Your firm has a reputation of compensating employees fairly and I trust you would do the same in my case. I am very interested in finding the right opportunity and will be open to any fair offer when I do so

You can start something like what Basheer mentioned in his answer, but you will be asked next question definitely on your expectations. Be firm and specific. Have an understanding of salary standards the company is practicing through portals while mentioning your expectations.

In companies with good reputation Mr. basheer basheer ‘s answer is the perfect one , but if your interview with one of the companies that I met in Saudi Arabia  you need to be careful and try to prepare yourself to such question , maybe you need to ask friend or through internet what is normal salary  in order to be ready to answer, If you could to avoid answeing in a good way it will be ok

"Negotiable" for sure! Because that will give u the opportunity to see the situation and honestly negotiate about it with the employer!

"I am sure your company (name it) is highly reputed and one of the best pay masters in the industry. My salary expectation shall commensurate with the position and, my skills and competencies I carry in contributing to your organisation"

Please don't feel shy or uncomfortable when negotiating for salary. Be confident when asking for a good handsome package.

You should have some figures always in the back of your mind prior any interview, which you should negotiate when discussing with HR.

Market price and not being lesss compensated than any of my peers within the company.
