ERP = Enterprise Resource Planning. These are systems to manage business processes and report on differnt processes. They are usually modular systems to allow users to select which functions to implement based on thier requirements.
Cloud Computing stands for using computer systems which are not installed on your local network. You may also choose to store your data in the cloud (off your local network).
Retail Management System are the systems used to automate and control retial processes such Point Of Sales and Supply Chain Management. These systems also use bar code and RFID tags more than other computer systems. These are the systems you use at your supermarket cahiers.
SaaS = System as a service. this was the first model for Cloud Computing. These systems are not installed on your local network and you usually pay for your usage of such systems.
IaaS = Infrastructure as a Service. This is where the data network, servers, & data storage are not owned by your self and you pay for your usage.
PaaS = Platform as a Service. This is another name for IaaS but mainly used for rented servers and data storage.
Security Solutions are the solutions to protect from virusses, hacking, & data theaft.
ERP is a platform where all the different modules are interfaced .
