I was struck when read this question. Core java is no longer Usefull ? Oh Dear core java involves basic language to Advanced implementaions. All the Java based applications/Frameworks are built from the core java. Mobile apps is the simplest example where you can find core jave being used since Nokia used JAVA. You are forgetting Threading, Netwroking, JNDIs, Generics, SWING, FILE IOs power of JAVA which are building blocks of JAVA Language. I wish some one do read banner while installing JDK "Millions of apps built using Java".
u are right dear but when i go for any interview on core java, then they will say we have no openings only in advance....they also get3+years of experience in it like hibernate,spring,struts,mvc but no one can tell us or give training on live projects.Thaey simple give training on management projects or just as colleg based projects.what we can do now.
