Relationship between Marketing , Sales and Production would be they are inter-related as any market needs to customers and demand to produce a product and a product to be launched and recognized needs marketing , promotion and adevertsing in various forms. Once the product is marketed then we can get a feedback how many customers are potential targets to proceed with Sales calls to close the deal and get orders in hand.

As per orders production can be ramped up or scale down as marketing and sales decides action of production whether it should be continous production or batch production again depending on sector and market and frequency in demand as a FMCG product production can differ from a technical high value item which is produced in handful numbers in a year.

Sales is the front end. Sales is what moves the production. More sales will lead to more production. Marketing is a catalyst that supports the sales process by building awareness of the product among the consumers. So Sales + Marketing will identify the amount of production.

Production is driven by the sales and marketing where lines that are to be produced will depend on what the customer has requested.
