Don't put yourself on risk by hiring your incompletent friend in your organization.  If you have done so then educate him, traig him and ask him to work hard to get both of you out of that bad situation in which you are.

I think these are the situations of Conflict of interest.....!

My company has a policy for such situations: We must declare such situations to the company,  We must restrain ourself from hiring friends and make others hire in your organization, When you still have conflicts to take a decision when he is working under you, refer it your management and say as he is a friend, he better would like stay away and others take a decision.

This is what we call "Policy on Conflict of interest"

In past, one of my colleagues refered his class fellow and he did good job, i think refering someone to  a job is good but never induct someone just on the basis of relation, it will cost you. Assess each applicant on merit basis. One thing more never make your hiring decision on the basis of emotion. Be rationale and sincer with your job and organziation.

Actually, I try my level best not to hire an inefficient friend, because, I want to keep my professional as well as personal life safe.

Being a friend, I know that person’s drawbacks; so try to make her/him better for the industry. After that, I will give an opportunity to perform in an interview, if he performs well, then I will accept him.   After that, will train (personally and professionally) and give him maximum support to become competent, till I realize what I am doing is an utter waste. After that I will just wipe him out.

I will ask him/her to look for a better opportunity to match his/her skills and ablities.

I will explain about his mistakes, which he has done. I will advice him to avoid such kind of mistakes. I will give suggestion to improve his effieciency.

If he has not corrected himself, finally i will tell, pl look some other job, becuase your name is spoiling and my name also.

Firstly, I disagree to recruit any relatives because it hampers the organizational rules and regulations. It is a unprofessional work if anyone does this work. In my present organization, there is no chance to recruit any relative and it is strickly prohibited by the HR policy. If anyone hides or does then both will be terminated.

i will help him to imporve his/her performance, otherwise he will face the consequences by himself/herself, because i am not the owner.

In this case, get a period to train him for the improvement , find out where he can fit well within or in another orgazation! Otherwise he/she will be big obstacles for your perfomence!
