I think there's more than one critic agreed that Hamlet is the "Mona liza" of litreture, one of them is The American- British poet "Thomas Stearns Eliot", who  wrote the famous masterpiece of the Modernist Movement " The love song of J. Alfred Prufrock".

T.S. Eliot called Hamlet the Mona Lisa of literature. It was not a complimentary remark--Eliot was pointing out that the work had become such a cultural icon that it has been reinterpreted to death.
