Critical thinking is not typically a significant part of teacher preparation programs. but i incentivate my pupils by asking them question about their lesson. such as :
“Is that right? That doesn’t sound right.”
“There has to be a detail missing.”
“That’s not possible… is it?”

I don't advise resorting to games to teach critical thinking, but you can use light topics to spur them into using analytic and critical thinking. I always try to approach them through their personal interests, for example, we discuss the What's App on their smartphones and its role in their lives.
