geomatics is contained from two part Geo + matics
Geo means earth and matics means measuring and calculating
measuring and calculating and mathematics about earth also earth shaping and changing
Surveying is a part of geomatics and it s not equal geomatics .
Geomatics contain : geodesy , photography , hydrography , rs , gis , surveying ( land survey , building survey etc...)
but surveying is a part of geomatics that is very important and commonly because generraly geomatics wrongfully is called surveying!!!
it s wrongful but widespread and prevalent !!!
