Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal:- Which is better than others as a CMS in your opinion? and Why? Any others to suggest?

1- Wordpress is a bog system, but with some additions can be used as a good CMS. 2- I have my concerns of not using one of the above for performance. Will explain later. 3- All of them work as add-on framework. The question remains, which one?

The one who work with WordPress will tel you that WordPress is the best

The one who work with Joomla will tel you that Joomla is the best

The one who work with Drupal will tel you that Drupal is the best

When I start with CMS I start with WordPress [ I love WordPress ] , then Joomla [ I found that it is very powerful and strong ] , then Drupal you will understand it after WordPress and joomla

If you are theme developer and  plugin Developer you will find that they are all Important To Learn and Develop with here is a link for comparison between there advantages drupal-vs-joomla-vs-wordpress

Then you will learn how to make the back end of those MVC applications , back end is the administration panel of those application that mean you will develop similar application like wordpress or joomla or drupal some day

Here is what I can tell you from my experience.

  1. Between17-19 percent of the world's websites are built on WordPress because it works seamlessly with Google SEO (designed to work great with Google Spider)
  2. Drupal has versions that are industry specific and they provide great support. Majority of the US based government and public educational websites are powered by Drupal CMS. Great enterprise architecture customization.
  3. Joomla is growing to be a big community especially, in the Fare East.

These three are the dominating CMS tools in the market. Since I have worked in the journalism industry, I can tell you there are many CMS in that industry that can be useful to the everyday public. One such, is called NewsScoop by SourceFabric, it is an open source project.

Personally, the diversity, plugins, themes for WordPress is unparalleled. I would suggest you stick to it.
